If you love science and helping people, GTCC’s Pharmacy Technician Pathway is a great way to start your future in healthcare while you’re still in high school.

Through a partnership between GTCC and Guilford County Schools, you can take college classes that prepare you to work in a pharmacy — all while you’re still earning your high school diploma.

And the best part? Through Career and College Promise (CCP)  you can take classes for free! *.

You can earn your Pharmacy Technician credential just one year after graduating high school, putting you on the fast track to a rewarding career helping others, debt-free!

You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Preparing and safely handling prescription medications
  • Understanding pharmacy law and patient confidentiality
  • Working alongside pharmacists and healthcare professionals

All classes are held at GTCC’s High Point Campus, where you’ll learn in modern labs guided by experienced instructors who care about your success.

At GTCC, Titans are part of a community that supports you every step of the way — with small classes, caring faculty, and hands-on labs designed to give you real-world confidence. Also:

  • Instructors who bring real-world pharmacy experience into the classroom (not just theory)
  • Comprehensive student support, including:
    •  Free tutoring via GTCC’s Center for Academic Engagement
    • Academic advising and coaches who guide each step
    • Free, confidential counseling and wellness support
  • Opportunities to connect beyond the classroom through student organizations and clubs in health sciences
  • Athletic and campus life options to help your child feel part of the GTCC community

Talk to your counselor to see what classes you’ll take,  when and where you’ll take them, and how the program fits into your high school schedule.

Your future in healthcare starts here. Make Amazing Happen at GTCC.

*The cost of books, materials, and college fees will be covered for most students.
